Mt. Pleasant Series Limited Release #4 -
RED INDIA PALE ALE

IBU:  70  SRM: 17  ABV: 7%

The fourth release in the Mt Pleasant Limited Series, R&B Brewing Co's "Red IPA" is a collaborative inspiration of the R&B team. These brewers contribute their varied experience and skills, while passionately crafting R&B's unique and varied artisan ales.

"A flavourful Red IPA, full bodied with a surprising crisp finish."

The Red IPA is a single hop beer using Australian Vic Secret hops, with origins that come from the Victoria region of Australia.  From the same family as Topaz hops, this varietal pungent hop, with fruit expressions, adds depth and flavour.  Notes of mango, pineapple and passionfruit are palatable while the malt profile is a rich, toasted caramel character.
R&B Brewing Co, is proud to release this brew in conjunction with it's new Taproom opening this month.  The beer is slated to be released today, with the Taproom opening in early to mid February.  Look for this exciting new 'brewery tasting' opportunity, and addition to the Mt Pleasant  neighbourhood.
With a funky Taproom offering 12 taps and 2 full time cask engines, it is complimented with Chef Archie's hand-crafted pizza menu;  a couple of wines for the non-beer drinker; a local Vancouver Island cider on tap; and a new Growler Station for fills. We will keep you posted on opening dates, but in the meantime, visit the Growler Station (still open during reno's), for a taste of the new Red IPA.  Pick up a Growler or a 650 ml bottle of this new seasonal brew, while it lasts.

Imperial Rye Lager - 7.2%

Beginning as a full-bodied imperial lager, a murderous amount of rye thickens the plot, adding a subtle spice note to a deliciously balanced brew.  Pours a deep amber colour with a medium off-white head. Fruit esters on the nose lead to full flavours of toasted rye bread underpinned with subtle sweetness. Cold conditioned for a very smooth mouthfeel that finishes clean.

*available for a limited time at select craft-focused private liquor stores.
