GRANVILLE ISLAND BREWING EXPLORES GREAT BC BEER AND POWDER IN 2ND ANNUAL BREWSKI TOUR
beer brand brings community together to celebrate mountains, brews and good times across BC
Vancouver, B.C. (February 16, 2016): Granville Island Brewing is hitting the road with the 2nd annual BrewSki Tour, the ultimate celebration of West Coast lifestyle. Through an eight-day ski and brewery tour across six BC mountain towns, the team will connect with consumers on the mountain, over a pint, and in a shared passion for good times.
Combining a genuine love of winter mountain sports and good beer, the BrewSki Tour team is made up of staff from Granville Island Brewing – including Brewmaster Kevin Emms, General Manager Dave Nicholls, Brand Manager Brionne Holland and Beer Merchant Mike Sharpham. As well as a few partners along the way.
“One of the best parts of working in the beer industry in BC is the community created around an authentic appreciation for good brews and good people. The BrewSki Tour gives us the chance each year to visit ski towns and breweries across the province, check out changes and trends in the industry, and celebrate all that B.C. has to offer, while making friends along the way,” says Dave Nicholls, General Manager, Granville Island Brewing.
Each BrewSki Tour stop will see the team visit a local brewery or brewpub, shred powder on a local mountain and host an après event for thirsty beer drinkers after a day on the slopes. The tour team is encouraging consumers to join them along the way, either on the mountain or at the après events. Details on all events can be found at www.brewskitour.ca
The BrewSki Tour is supported by awesome partners including social media powerhouse, Hootsuite, and local adventure content capturing gear, Hitcase. Ski TV is coming along for the ride to film three episodes set to air on Rogers Sportsnet in late March. The social media community is also playing a role in the tour by providing input and suggestions on local spots to visit along the way.
The tour kicks off with a party at the Granville Island Brewing taproom at 7 p.m. on February 23rd, beer lovers are welcome to join and drink in the experience with friends before the team hits the road. Click here to RSVP.
