pike is now in cans!
and seattle beer week approacheth

If the Space Needle is the iconic emblem that represents Seattle, then, after rain, craft beer is our town's liquid symbol. We'll celebrate both this May with the much anticipated release of Pike Space Needle Golden IPA in cans and Seattle Beer Week.

This West Coast style IPA, seasoned with aromatic Yakima Valley hops, won the contest among local brewers to commemorate the golden anniversary of the Space Needle in 2012 and has been a staple in our brand lineup, on draft and in 22 oz. bottles, ever since.

Pike Brewing's first beer in cans!
After years of customer requests for a Pike Brewing beer to enjoy outdoors, on the water, trails, picnics, and camping trips, we bit the aluminum and started canning. Pike Space Needle Golden IPA in 12 oz. cans is now being rolled out at retailers around the Northwest. Please request it at your favorite grocery store or bottle shop.

For a city already soaked in malt and hops, the 8th annual Seattle Beer Week is the perfect storm for beer enthusiasts. Starting on May 12, the delectable event runs for 10 days and nights. Bars, pubs, restaurants and breweries all over the Emerald City will pay homage to our favorite drink: craft beer!

Pike Brewing Company is an official Seattle Beer Week sponsor and will be rolling out special beers and events to celebrate all that is hoppy in Seattle. Look below for a full list of Pike's Seattle Beer Week events, including the almost sold-out Women In Beer

Extended Hoppy Hour during the Viaduct closure.
Seattle's Alaskan Way viaduct will be closed for approximately two weeks starting Friday, April 29. This will make Seattle's already lousy traffic really, really awful.
The Pike Pub at Pike Brewing is doing our part by extending happy hour prices on beer until 7PM for anyone (21+, of course) with an Orca card. Show your Orca card in The Pike Pub and you'll receive $1 off a pint or $4 off a pitcher from 4-7 PM, Monday - Friday, while the Viaduct is closed. Hopefully this extended "hoppy hour" will encourage bus and light rail riders to stagger their commute times.
This discount is good for beer only. Hoppy hour food prices remain the same, from 4-6PM Monday - Friday.
Hoppy commuting, Seattle transit riders!
