mmm, cocktails!
Mezcal Cider Sour
Serves 1
2 ounces Mezcal reposado
1 ounce fresh apple cider
½ ounce fresh lemon juice
1/2 ounce ginger simple syrup (see below)
In a mixing tin, combine all the ingredients, add ice, and shake until chilled (around 30 seconds). Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
Ginger simple syrup
½ cup sugar
½ cup water
1 inch knob of fresh ginger, peeled and sliced thin
In a small saucepan, bring all the ingredients to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes. Let cool, then strain the ginger out. Makes ¼ cup.
