a beer for a cause, but need you to tell us which one!
Voting is Open!
November 7th, 2016 - Voting is now open for the 2016 Benefit Brew...or
should we say brews!! This year running a Benefit Brew for BC
If you're not familiar with this project, the nuts and bolts of it
is that we're brewing a beer for a BC non-profit and an Alberta
non-profit. We will be donating full proceeds (~$10,000) from the
sale of these brews, but we need you to tell us which charities
we're brewing for! Have your voice heard by voting for your
charity of choice with the click of a mouse. You can vote once per
day per computer, over at www.benefitbrew.com
right up until November
18th. Tune back in on November 21st
to find out who the winner is!
Regardless of how the voting turns out, every charity participating
in the vote will receive a $500 donation.
Trainwreck is carefully aged with French and
Trainwreck Oak Aged Barley Wine - 10% - 650mL
7th, 2016: As your numbed fingers and toes can
attest, it's barley wine season! To celebrate, Trainwreck is once
again rolling down the tracks to your local liquor store. Our
10% behemoth is carefully oak aged with French and American oak,
stoking this brew full of rich malt flavours and hints of toasted
caramel. The mild carbonation of this barley wine allows the
silky sweet flavour profile to settle on the palate and linger a
little longer on the finish. Trainwreck should be enjoyed at
(8C), but at 10% ABV be careful not to derail your caboose.
Trainwreck Oak-Aged Barley Wine is released in a 650mL bottle and
available from finer private beer stores for a limited time
If you'd like to sample Trainwreck on draft, we are hosting a special
tasting at the brewery this Thursday November 10th from 4-6pm.
31st, 2016 - Say hello to our little
friend...again! Scarfface was born as a seasonal bomber last year, but
it was so good that we've brought it back as a 473mL tall can and
will be keeping it around until spring. Snow-packed with enough
cranberry and citrus to make a bad guy feel good, this brew is a
welcome break from the heavy winter ales.
soft melon orange colour with a pillow white head, aromas of fresh
oranges and fruity esters lead to a sweet orange wheat body, that
finishes with a crisp cranberry tartness.
This seasonal brew is available in the tall can section of your
favourite private craft beer store until spring. If you find
yourself in our neck of the woods, come on down to the brewery for a
free tasting this Thursday from 4-6.
