ermigawd! i will be on cbc's evening news at 5:00 today talking about beer in grocery stores

i just taped a segment on shaw tv's "the rush" (formerly urban rush) i am not talking about beer on the segment but michael eckford does mention this blog so that makes it beer related, right?! interested? i'll be chatting with mike and fiona about the cable access show i co-host on shaw called outlooktv which just celebrated its one year anniversary check it out on shaw channel 4 at 10 and midnight tonight (also 2 a.m for the insomniacs and service industry folks) and again tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. or you can go new skool and find it on www.youtube.com/therushonshawtv tomorrow there is some sort of streaming thing too at http://new.livestream.com/therushtv/events/1580921  from noon until three daily... rewind to the 20 minute mark and you can watch me right now...

this has nothing to do with beer (except for being something you could do with a beer in your hand) the television show i co-host has its debut on shaw tonight! yes, they choose beernesday to debut the show! tune in on the shaw channel at 10:30 tonight and see me as a talking head! the show repeats: Fri 5:30am Sat 1:00am Sun 1:30am Tue 2:30am set your pvrs, grab a beer, and prepare to make a drinking game out of mocking me on television all the cool kids are doing it!

i was afraid there would be no cask nights for me this week as i am filming for outgames tv every evening i was sad to think i was going to miss out on the offerings but very happy to have a television gig again! luckily though, i got done filming early enough last night to hit the railway club for the lighthouse cream ale those kiwi hops (that's new zealand ones, not the fruit) sure had a unique flavour! an enjoyable ale for sure last week i had no problems in the cask department i hit three cask nights and tried a fourth cask beer the third of those three nights was thursday at the yaletown brewpub where the beer was brown and delicious and the hops were cascades i brought along all my work folks who are becoming quite the fans of craft beer in general and the offerings at yaletown in particular (especially the growler option - which they all fill with the raspberry wheat ale!) my lovely work friends   another growler convert  in ...

more on the shameless self-promotion front: i'm co-hosting outgames tv which, if you are in vancouver, you can see on shaw channel 4 all this week if you are elsewhere in canadia it will air next week on out tv there's a facebook page you can like there are youtube videos you can watch and... there's talk of a legacy show resulting from the community effort to bring gay community television back to vancouver!! how is this beer related? well, currently its not but you know that if a legacy show comes to fruition, i'll be pushing for a "beers and queers" segment!
