Cranberry Orange Wit - 5% - 650mL November 30th, 2015 - Say hello to our little friend! Scarfface is snow-packed with enough cranberry and citrus to make a bad guy feel good, and is a welcome break from the heavy winter ales. Pouring a soft melon orange colour with a pillow white head, aromas of fresh oranges and fruity esters lead to a sweet orange wheat body, that finishes with a crisp cranberry tartness. This seasonal brew is only available for a limited time from your preferred craft-focused private liquor store.  If you find yourself in our neck of the woods, come on down to the brewer...

New Belgium Brewing Declares a Mutiny on Gluten with Two Gluten-Reduced Ales Year-round offerings, Glütiny Pale Ale and Glütiny Golden Ale, offer uncompromised options for craft drinkers Ft. Collins, Colo., November 16, 2015 – New Belgium Brewing joins the mutiny against gluten by hoisting pints of its new Glütiny ales. The brewery’s latest year-round offerings, Glütiny Pale Ale and Glütiny Golden Ale, give discerning craft beer drinkers uncompromised choices in the gluten-reduced category. The two beers will be available in New Belgium markets mid-January, 2016. Glütiny Golden Ale New Belgium dosed Glütiny Golden Ale with Nugget, Goldings and Cascade hops, and then dry-hopped it again with Cascade. These bright, floral hops lend grapefruit and subtle herb notes to the wash of bready-sweet malts. An addition of oats adds a layer of smoothness to the mouthfeel. At 5.2 percent ABV and 20 IBUs, Glütiny Golden Ale is a sessionable, flavorful ale that starts sweet and ends crisp...

craft beer market and stanley park brewing

Image
the new team at stanley park brewing hosted me at their recent brewmaster's dinner at craft beer market the food was delicious and their new beers were pretty tasty moules & frites with wit i was most taken with the windstorm pale ale chock full of mosaic hops, this one is a departure from the rest of the belgian inspired line-up and one that i would drink again the winter ale was also quite nice - cherry and chocolate, with none of my despised vanilla to ruin it black forest inspired dessert the new team is well aware that stanley park is not beloved by beer nerds and they're okay with that they are right where they want to be in the market and you gotta respect that thanks so much stanley park brewing for hosting me and for drawing my name for this awesome gift basket!!
