He was passionate about introducing people to beers they had yet to try, and many people credit him with rekindling interest in beer via his books, articles and TV show. from pike brewing: WOMEN IN BEER  Pike Brewing Company will again present Women In Beer on May 11 from 6-9 pm. Don't miss this event, always one of the highlights of Seattle Beer Week. Mark your calendars now for this celebration of women in their current and historic roles in the production, preparation, and marketing of beer, wine, spirits, cider, and artisan food. The event benefits Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest. Last year 300 guests attended and we heard from many that it was their favorite, and one of the busiest Seattle Beer Week events.   BOOST YOUR BREWSTER The first beers were brewed by priestesses thousands of years ago. Beer goddesses reign supreme in early mythology, and it was a nun who gave us hops. st. patrick's day

if you'll be in seattle this weekend, pike brewing can help you celebrate green day: Time marches to its own drummer and St. Patrick's Day is but a wee week away. With the big day falling on a Tuesday, Pike Brewing will begin celebrating St. Paddy's this coming Friday and continue the festivities through the 17th. Tis a stout brew we've aged in a Woodinville Whiskey barrel to welcome the  Stout Pounders , a  Celtic Folk band. They will perform from 6-9 pm this Friday, March 13 . Come tap your toes, dance a jig, and join in the fun. The Pike Pub has some delectable food specials too: our superb Corned Beef and Cabbage, luscious Irish Stew and Pike Pretzels (baked with spent grain and Pike Naughty Nellie). Top it all off with Pike Kilt Lifter Scotch Ale. All Irish (and everyone else's) eyes are smiling each time The Elliott Bay Pipe and Drum Band plays at The Pike Pub. For more than ten years, this 22-piece band has entertained our guests on St. Patrick...
