Malts: 2-Row, Maris Otter, Cara 30, Melanoiden
Hops: Magnum, East Kent Goldings, Cascade, dry-hopped with Citra
ABV: 5.2%
IBU: 31

A malty, sessionable Pale Ale with a hint of citrus flavour and earthy tones.

Today sees the long-awaited launch of our 2014 Prototype Challenge winner - Vagabond Pale Ale. Alongside this awesome gluten free pale ale, we have the return of a BrewDog favourite, reinvented as the first of our seasonal releases - Alice Porter.

Vagabond Pale Ale - 4.5%

A kick-ass, hop-forward pale ale, that just so happens to be gluten free. Vagabond Pale Ale melds citrus and tropical hop flavours with a light caramel malt base, backed up with a raucously resinous bitterness. Brewed using 100% malted barley, American hop varieties, pure Scottish water and our clean-fermenting house yeast, Vagabond is missing only one thing - Gluten.
 

Alice Porter - 5.2%

2015 welcomes in the triumphant return of Alice Porter. Weighing in at 5.2% ABV, Alice Porter hides a huge complexity behind her modest strength. Roasty and smooth with fruity, rich coffee character. Alice Porter takes a sudden twist in an unexpected direction; a blend of hops that add a light, balancing citrusy twist and a subtle spiciness. Alice Porter is the first of our 2105 seasonal brews.

This is not news to anyone. But have you ruminated on just how large the gender gap is?  A 2018 survey by Nielsen-Harris  found American craft beer drinkers are 68.5 per cent male and 31.5 per cent female. Closer to home,  BeerMeBC’s 2018 survey  had those numbers at 71 and 29 per cent, with 0.32 per cent identifying as “other.” For those not so strong in the math department, that means that there are only three women drinking craft beer for every seven men. If you were a straight man looking for a date, you wouldn’t like those odds at all. And I can tell you, as one of those three women, it’s not much fun being outnumbered everywhere I go to enjoy my beloved craft beer, delightful as those seven men may be.
