Vanilla is a recent trend, and seems to have really caught on here in the Lower Mainland.  For those who, like me, aren’t big fans of the vanilla trend, there are more traditional winter ales, and other experimental ales around, in a variety of styles and flavours. I'll be on CBC Radio One's On the Coast this afternoon. And I'll be giving away this bad boy to one lucky listener: It's 6 litres of Unibroue's La Fin du Monde goodness - 9% trippel-style golden ale that you're going to have to share with some worthy friends! If you don't win this bottle, you can buy yourself one, but you've got to hurry, they're a special limited release by Sleemans. If you're in Ontario , you can also get these monster bottles, but there are only 50 of them available!

Collins, Colo., November 5, 2015 – Accumulation White IPA returns to New Belgium Brewing ’s winter lineup offering an alternative to traditional dark winter beers. It comes in at 6.2 percent ABV and 70 IBUs. “Many beers out this time of year are malt bombs and going with an IPA that has some tropical flavors defies expectation,” said New Belgium’s brewer Grady Hull. “Accumulation also has a hefty dose of wheat, which provides a ...
