BOMBER MÄRZEN, Amber Lager: Märzen means "March" beer but you may prefer to
enjoy this august, medium-bodied German lager all year round. A smooth maltiness and

About Bomber Märzen Amber Lager:
Aroma: A slight toasted malt aroma, underpinned by the very German
presence of Munich malt.
Appearance: Orange-red in colour. Clear and bright.
Flavour: An early sweet maltiness precedes a soft, dry finish. 'Dark Munich'
provides a slight toasted character. Moderate noble hop bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Smooth and creamy with a light to medium body.
ABV = 5.5%
Original Gravity = 1.055
Bitterness = 20 IBU
Colour = 9 SRM
Bomber Märzen Amber Lager is available now in kegs,

SUPERPEST Double IPA: An homage to Bomber hockey teammate and Odds frontman,
Craig 'Superpest' Northey whose ethic on the ice is always, "Lead by example".
That directive is deftly delivered in this, our Double IPA, so only Pacific Northwest hops,
Centennial, Chinook, and Columbus, and BC-malted 2-row barley are good enough to
echo the Superpest name. So that's what we use.

 
About Superpest:
Appearance: Presents a golden, orangish hue. Abundant, off-white head.
Clear with slight haze from dry-hopping.
Flavour: Soft bitterness produces a non-cloying landing on the palette.
Tangy hints of grapefruit rind linger on the side of the tongue.
Mouthfeel: Medium body. Smooth and warming.
ABV = 7.5%
Original Gravity = 1.075
Bitterness = 80 IBU
Colour = 8 SRM

zywiec polish beer

and now for something completely different a polish beer! zywiec - and i have no idea how to pronounce that! its poland's #1 premium beer (according to the bottle) it has a thermometer label when you can see the name in colour, its the right temperature to drink sounds a bit too much like those darned mountains that turn blue when the piss-poor mass market beer is cold enough to not give you any indication of its stinky nose but i digress... pours wonderfully clear light caramel colour nice head on the vigourous pour 5.5% this is a lager i can get into! crisp and mildly hopped its everything a pilsner should be and its delicious a great session beer on the bottle:  "since 1856 this premium beer has been brewed according to the original zywiec brewer's recipe from the best natural ingredients.  contains finest malted barley, choicest hops and pure mountain water." no clue what the website says as its in polish but wikipedia has this little histor...

The chief economist for the American Brewers Association gave an engaging talk about the state of craft brewing, chock-full of brain tickling stats and his interpretations of what they mean now and for the future.
