Okanagan Fest of Ale is coming up!

Craft brewers and craft brew enthusiasts from BC and beyond will soon be gathering in Penticton to celebrate at the 23rd annual Okanagan Fest of Ale. A favourite for patrons and participants alike for over 20 years, this must attend event takes place at the Penticton Trade & Convention Centre April 13 th and 14 th in Penticton and features over 175 craft beers, cask ales and artisanal ciders from 69 exceptional craft breweries and cideries from BC and beyond.  Of the participating breweries, 10 are new to the event, 5 will be featuring craft cider and many will be offering new seasonal releases and beers created especially for the festival.  Guests of the fest can also look forward to fabulous food, with many restaurateurs incorporating a craft inspired twist on their dish, a brewing education station, onsite pop-up liquor store and great live entertainment both indoors and out. The Truck Stop Concert Series Talent Search is looking for more great independent music Red Truck Beer welcomes unsigned local talent to compete for a Truck Stop Concert Series opening slot Over the three years of Truck Stop Concert Series at East Vancouver’s Red Truck Brewery, the Talent Search program, powered by do604 , has offered unsigned local bands the opportunity to showcase their work in front of the fans at these summer music celebrations. This year, the Talent Search process is being souped-up with the addition of a final showdown at the legendary Railway Stage & Beer CafĂ© . The top six artists who make it through the earlier rounds will face off in a battle of the bands on April 17 th , with three winners each receiving a Concert Series opening spot. Red Truck Beer to host the Axewood Crew for Axes & Ales Axe Throwing League starting March 7 th What’s better than throwing axes and drinking ales? Keeping score, that’s what! This spring, Red Truck Beer is proud to be working with the Axewood Crew to host the Vancouver Axes & Ales Axe Throwing League . Every Wednesday from March 7 th until April 25 th , the Axewood Crew will set up and host throwers of all experience levels at the Truck Stop Diner to throw some axes outside and compete for weekly swag and prizes. There’s no experience required, and the satisfaction of watching your axe hit the bullseye is a genuine thrill. “We love what the Axewood Crew is doing,” said Brian Fong, Red Truck Beer Director of Marketing.  “We’re really stoked to be able to host the Axes and Ales Axe Throwing League for all those thirsty axe throwers.” The league will run from 6pm - 7:30pm weekly, with optional weekly practice starting at 5:30pm.
