New Belgium Brings Back Sour, Spice and Everything Nice with the Return of La Folie, Transatlantique Kriek and Cocoa Molé These Lips of Faith additions are available now Ft. Collins, Colo. – February 19, 2015 – New Belgium Brewing is releasing 2015’s La Folie and Transatlantique Kriek while reissuing a new Cocoa Molé, offering an inventive mixture of sour, sweet, heat and tradition. Two of these Lips of Faith additions (Transatlantique Kriek and La Folie) will remain out through the remainder of 2015 and Cocoa Molé will be out through March, or while supplies last. La Folie, French for “the folly” and New Belgium’s earliest sour beer release dating back to 1997, returns yet again to offer this year’s sour delight. A wood-conditioned brown ale, La Folie ages one to three years in French oak foeders formerly used in wine production. The result? A smooth oaky nose and delightfully tart finish. This one-of-a-kind sour brown ale is sharp like a lambic, sour in the finish, and...

legacy liquor store

lots of delicious new beers at legacy liquor store while i was away: Freigeist Bierkultur Geisterzug Spruced Traditional Gose - $6.95 From the far-off continent of Europe, in the great land that is Germany—Köln specifically—comes a simply delicious brew. Amber in colour with a hint of grapefruit pink, its nose of German yeast, faint lemon peel and a touch of spruce pairs perfectly with a palate of gentle acidity, more yeast, zippy salt and once again a touch of spruce in the finish. A session-able and refreshing beer all the way through. Joel Wilson | Beer Team | Legacy Liquor Store Elysian Brewing Co. Split Shot Espresso Milk Stout - $8.15 The ultimate collaboration of two of the best things Seattle has to offer: beer and coffee. Rich and dark in the glass with a big robust nose of espresso and just a hint of dark chocolate, followed by more coffee and chocolate in perfect harmony on the palate. Robust and creamy, this brew was made for the lover of all things Seattle. Evan Doan...

new and exciting beers at legacy liquor store in vancouver: #BitterAllies Urban Legend IPA - $7.45 This collaboration brew from those clever minds at Granville Island Brewery and Joey (yes, the restaurant) is definitely no urban legend. Brewed beneath the Granville Street Bridge in the light of the Cascadian moon, this robust India Pale Ale is all about the hop with zingy citrus notes on both the nose and the palate. Northwest hops and a long, lingering finish make this limited release one worth investigating. Evan Doan | Beer Team | Legacy Liquor Store New Belgium Lips of Faith Series Le Terroir - $11.75 Barrel-aged for two to three years (depending on where you’re getting your information) followed by a generous dry hopping, this brew pours a beautiful shade of amber in the glass with sweet malt, hops, oak and sour notes coming together to provide everything you could ever want in a bouquet. As for the palate, all those aromas pull through and make their presence known to create...
