the beerthirst rogue tour de richmond was a whole lotta fun! the concept alone guaranteed a good time:  rogue beers paired with a sandwich at every stop with a school bus to get you from pub a to pub b (c, d and e) first stop:  hogshack beer:  st. rogue red ale sandwich:  sliders with kimchi and spicy carrots (my veggie option was a beet and quinoa patty) pairing:  it worked, the spicy toppings with the rich red ale worked like a charm - the judges chose this as the best pairing  the meat slider (and beer) the awesome veggie slider  second stop:  buck and ear beer:  cpt. sig's northwest pale ale food:  halibut, prawn and shrimp tacos with mango salsa, fried potatoes pairing:  to be honest, i was so much all about the amazing flavours bursting in my mouth while eating the taco that i forgot to drink my beer with it, but this pairing won the people's choice, so it musta pleased people!  damned delicious fis...

i would never have thought to combine all three of beer, zombies and running now i can't imagine why i didn't

Our Beer, Our Barrels, Our Johns. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE NEWPORT, OR, December 17, 2010- In a collaboration of crafts, Rogue Brewmaster John Maier and Rogue Spirits Master Distiller John Couchot have joined forces to create a distinct, innovative series of brews called John John Ales. The series will take Rogue Ales legends and age them in Rogue Spirits barrels. The first of the John John series is John John Dead Guy Ale, Rogue's award winning Dead Guy Ale matured in Rogue's award winning Dead Guy Whiskey barrels. The cross collaboration of these two products starts with the distilling of Dead Guy Ale wort to create the Dead Guy Whiskey. The Whiskey is aged in Oak Barrels and bottled, then the Oak Barrels are taken from the distillery, by forklift, across the parking lot to the Brewery where they are filled with Dead Guy Ale and matured for three months. Each John John product will be a limited release. Following John John Dead Guy Ale will be John John Juniper Pale Ale: Rogue...

fabulous new tees from rogue brewery! i want the dead guy one, and the 100% rogue one how many beer tees is it appropriate to have in one's wardrobe?  is there a limit? you can buy these tees, and other lovely rogue products here . for now, i shall just covet these tees.  $US30 plus shipping is a little rich for my blood.  perhaps a road trip is in order...
