Cranberry Orange Wit - 5% - 650mL November 30th, 2015 - Say hello to our little friend! Scarfface is snow-packed with enough cranberry and citrus to make a bad guy feel good, and is a welcome break from the heavy winter ales. Pouring a soft melon orange colour with a pillow white head, aromas of fresh oranges and fruity esters lead to a sweet orange wheat body, that finishes with a crisp cranberry tartness. This seasonal brew is only available for a limited time from your preferred craft-focused private liquor store.  If you find yourself in our neck of the woods, come on down to the brewer...

Green Reaper Returns! October 5th, 2015: It's hop harvest season and Green Reaper, our annual fresh-hop IPA, is back!  This year's Reaper uses Vancouver Island barley malted right here at our malting facility!  We are so excited to be able to partner with local farmers to use island-grown grain in our brews, that we've updated our name to Phillips Brewing & Malting Co! On the hop side of things Green Reaper is packed with fresh centennial hops which were shipped straight from Sartori Farm in Chilliwack and into our brew kettle. Grapefruit aroma and flavours are underpinned with slight floral hints.  This IPA remains subtly sweet, featuring a vibrancy and delicacy that can only come from full-cone, never-dried hops. Harvest your bottle at private craft-focused liquor store...

New Belgium Brewing’s Surprisingly Sessionable Hop Tart is an Easy Drinking Summer Sour Latest Hop Kitchen release delivers a tropical twist on the American sour ale Ft. Collins, Colo., June 19, 2015 – New Belgium Brewing is celebrating summer with a sessionable, fruity spin on the typical American sour. Hop Tart is New Belgium’s latest Hop Kitchen offering, blending Belgian Pale Malt from the Colorado Malting Company, with tart lactobacillus and fruity hops. The result is a refreshing, easy drinker, perfect for fun in the sun. The beer is available on draft only in New Belgium markets. from phillips: A New-Zealand Inspired Seasonal Sipper   April 20th 2015: Inspired by the land of the Kiwi, Apteryx is a brand new fruity IPA that features New-Zealand grown Nelson Sauvin hops. The hop is a relative newcomer, first appearing in 2000 after careful cultivation, and imparts such a distinctive white wine “fruitiness” that Sauvin portion of the name was actually borrowed from the Sauvignon Blanc grape.   Apteryx pours a clear apricot colour with a marshmallow white head.  A medium-bodied malt base highlights notes of tropical fruits, gooseberries, nettles, and freshly crushed grapes.  Finishes dry. You can find this refreshing seasonal sipper at craft-focused private stores for a limited time only, or you can pop by the brewery this Thursday from 4-6 for a special draft tasting.
