Beau's Brewing Co. is located in Ontario.  I'm in BC.  So while I'd love to say that I got to sit down at the brewery with the lovely Beau's folks for this interview, I did not.  We went the new-fangled cyberspace way and conducted it over email. But!  But, I will get a chance to talk to Jennifer Beauchesne and brewer Brian O'Donnell in a few short weeks when they travel all the way across the country to attend the Great Canadian Beer Festival - and all I have to do is hop a ferry over to Victoria! from my files for CBC's On the Coast: On November 19 th  head over to the Yaletown Brewpub.  They’re hosting an all IPA caskival.  Just show up at 11:30 and get your $20 passport to try all 11 casks. This Saturday (November 12), Burnaby is hosting the second annual BurnabyBeer Fest at SpaceKraft on Kingsway.  There will be 30 beers and tasty appetizers to sample while you’re entertained by live music.  And there are three sessions to choose from.  Tickets are available on EventBrite. Luppolo Brewing has opened its doors!  With a soft opening on October 28 th they swelled the ranks of ‘Yeast Van’ breweries.  Their tasting room is beautiful, and they opened with a strong line up of 7 beers on tap.  Go visit them at 1123 Venables.  I’d also like to congratulate Luppolo for winning the judge’s choice at Celebrate Craft... what am i looking forward to at gcbf??? well, drinking beer in the sunshine of course! but more specifically, there are a few beers i have not tried before and some casks/limited releases that have my antenna twitching 1.   IPAs I haven’t tried before:   BANFF BREWING/JASPER BREWING – Banff , AB - Head Smashed IPA - This excellent brew is our flagship beer. Heavily hopped pale ale. DOUBLE TROUBLE BREWERY – Guelph, ON - Hops and Robbers session IPA, golden, fruity aroma of lemon, pineapple, and toasty caramel malt flavour. GREAT LAKES BREWING - Toronto , ON - Karma Citra IPA - Flavours of mango, grapefruit and lychee with a clean, crisp bitter finish. MICROBRASSERIE CHARLEVOIX – Baie-Saint-Paul, QUE - Vache Folle RyePA – It's red colour, spicy notes and silky body conferred by the use of rye set the table for an aromatic hop explosion!
