oh happy sunny day in vancouver! spring is in the air! and that makes me think of beer okay, everything makes me think of beer new seasonals coming out wearing beer tshirts without a hoodie over them trying to lose those 10 lbs of winter beer weight so i can fit back into those beer tshirts drinking on patios east side beer fest washington cask beer festival vegas craft beer fest cider riot party in portland bring it on!

i need to own one of these beer buckles (and the plaid shirt is really swell too!)

i am totally a paragon of virtue i am still on the wagon, but attending beer events as if i was drinking! 2 cask nights, a beernesday and the r&b '2013 is gonna be great' brewery party - all in one week so i thought perhaps i'd take a moment to pat myself on the back and list the pros of being dry from time to time 1.  the obvious - no hangovers 2.  leading from #1, more hours in the day to get stuff done and have fun 3.  my rings are never tight on my fingers - no retaining water! 4.  my liver gets a well-deserved little break 5.  my taste buds get a chance to recalibrate 6.  people are impressed by my will-power 7.  hopefully those same people will buy me a drink in february 8.  i'll lose a couple of pounds and fit back into my beer t-shirts 9.  if i had a car, i'd be able to drive it home every night! and 10.  that first beer on february 1st is going to taste sooooooo good!

i think i need to add a beverage pouch to my camping hoody because i'm cheap, and handy but you can just buy yourself a hoody with a beverage pouch

did you know the word gullible isn't even in the dictionary? okay, so maybe it is and you've probably heard that one many times before... but along with a ton of other media, i got sucked in by crannog 's story about people stealing pieces of their crannog for good luck ooops, not just gullible but guilty of not fact-checking what i pass along mea culpa brian of crannog set me straight at the women in beer event last week and i thank him for doing so without laughing his ass off at me for getting sucked in according to him, big media outlets ran with the story without checking with him as to its veracity so little old me getting sucked in too just wasn't so impressively laugh-worthy to him good one brian! p.s. brian designed the shirt he is wearing rebecca told me the story behind the design, but i wasn't taking notes so i only remember part of it, like that that's a hop bomb being thrown!
