yup, i still adore the howe sound brews! even more so now that they did a shout out to my blog on their facebook page but it will not affect my impartiality well, not much anyway! got me a 1L pot-stopper bottle of the devil's elbow ipa to share with a friend i love a friend who loves a hoppy beer! i love a hoppy beer to share with a friend! 6% 68 ibus 14.2 degrees plato pours up with a big head on the vigourous pour almost orange in colour (just like its label - hmmm, another ipa that uses orange for its label) slightly hoppy nose very hoppy first sip and second, and third! the bottle says:  "an assertive ale that is heavily bittered and dry-hopped providing an intense aroma.  brewed using selected english and north american barley and hops.  named for the dramatic grade iv devil's elbow rapid on the elaho river north of squamish, bc, canada." what a great idea! kudos to central city for this one! deliciousness abounded at the railway club last night! holy crap, did i ever enjoy the central city sartori dry-hopped esb cask beer i must have had four pints of that ambrosia before i stumbled my way to the alibi room for more casky hoppy goodness... that ambrosia must have been a good 9%... bitter, full of flavour with hop particles suspended in the glass, sparkling in the light making the beer look as good as it tasted everyone went back for more (but probably not quite as much as we did...) see how it sparkles in the glass hoppy hallowe'en

oh my god, i wanna go! next year...?
