FISHER HOUSE
THANKS YOU!
MROR Stack
We'd like to say again -- a big Thank You to Mens Room Red Drinkers -- together you have raised over $60,000 for theFisher House! We just received a very appreciative letter from the Army Commanding Colonel Jerome Penner III at Joint Base Lewis-McChord Fisher House and they have been able to help a huge number of Veterans and their families with these donations.

Christmas Beer Week @ ElysianDecember 6-12
Christmas Beer Week
Join us all week at any of our 3locations as we devote 8 taps to creative holiday ales.  Brews will include Bifrost Winter Ale, Oak Frost, Valhalla Christmas Ale, Bete Noel Belgian-style Christmas Ale, Bye-Bye Frost, Arboreal Chestnut Brown and Brett Frost.

We will also feature local ice creams from our awesome neighbors atBluebird Ice Creams starting Wednesday of this week. The ice creams will be made using our Bete Noel and Arboreal Chestnut beers.  Josh Reynolds at Bluebird has made a number of pumpkin beer ice creams for us and regularly offers a variety made with our Dragonstooth Stout, so we know they will be tasty!
Turkey Bowl 2010Cheers to beers, bowling and fundraising!
Team Elysian Turkey Bowl
Nov. 20th we ventured to West Seattle for the 12th Annual Beer Church Turkey Bowl - a food drive and fundraiser for West Seattle Food Bank. This year's Elysian Bowling team played hard and bowled strong... eh mostly.  But sadly it was not enough to take away Elliott Bay's title. Of course, the real winner is the food bank, and together, we all raised more than $2,000 and collected more than 2,000 lbs. of food!

In addition, we did get a chance to toss down some pitchers of the Beer Church Pale Ale (proceeds to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society) and we'd like to give a hats off to Big Al for brewing a great beer for a great cause.
The Trip VII Black Belgo IPA is brewed! The newest Elysian/New Belgium Collaboration Brew
Dano Stirs Trip VII hops
Just before the Thanksgiving holiday, Alex Jesse and Eric Salazar from New Belgium visited our Capitol Hill pub to brew the Trip VII - Black Belgo IPA.

The majority of the ingredients for this brew came to us from South America. Trip VII was brewed with Mexican dark roast malt and Chilean roasted barley with Brazilian black sugar in the boil. It was bittered with Argentinian Cascade and finished with El Dorado whole hops.  As with all the Trip series beers, this will only be available on draught in WA and OR and we will announce a release date in mid-December.

Our Colorado Cowboy!Elysian Welcomes Butchy Craft!
Butchy
Butchy joined our extended Elysian family summer of this year to help be a force for us in Colorado.  Butchy has been in the beer industry for a long time -- from his early days working for Carol Stoudt, founder and owner of Stoudt's Brewing, to his move to Montana with his golden retriever and his fishing pole and he has now been in the Colorado Rockies area for almost fifteen years.

Butchy's favorite two things are fly-fishing and beer, and along with those he enjoys camping and cooking gourmet meals.

Among his many talents, he can open a beer bottle with just about any given object and also makes much of his own ammunition when he goes shooting.

Butchy says his favorite Elysian beer is our Dark o' the Moon Pumpkin Stout - he first tried it at the Great American Beer Fest this year and kept coming back for more.

We are excited to have Butchy representing in the Rockies for us, so if you see this character around town, be sure to say Hi and have a beer with him!
